This traditional unshaded Sencha has a softer color and flavor to offer a fresh, rich and deliciously fruity aroma. You will discover the authentic aromas and flavors of real traditional Japanese Sencha, obtained without shading, pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Its infusion reveals its delicately toasted and sweet notes. This Sencha is made exclusively with tea leaves from the first spring harvest. These leaves are the most qualitative, the most aromatic and also the richest in nutrients. Indeed, several harvests per year can be harvested on the same tea plant. With each successive harvest, the quality and the price of the leaves - and therefore of the tea - decreases accordingly. This explains the huge differences in price, quality and taste. This variety of tea has recognized antioxidant powers, notably for its content of polyphenols (catechins) which have antioxidant properties, as well as a beneficial effect on the immune system. A very high quality green tea, IRO Traditional Sencha can be brewed twice with the same leaves and can also be cold brewed.
