Our tips for stress-free holidays !
The month of December can be a very stressful time, but you should not forget to take care of yourself regularly so you are not on the edge on Christmas Eve.
- Be organized :
Between chasing the perfect gift, long lines in stores and hectic supermarkets, it is important to make time for yourself. To better manage your time, you need to be organized, make lists and limit your commitments. Why not choose to buy some of the items for your Christmas dinner online. On our e-shop, you will find plenty of original gifts, ecofriendly, natural and healthy… Think about grabbing some healthy ingredients for your meal preparation.
- Be mindful
Being mindful = being present in the moment, being conscious of the thoughts and feelings going through your head. By taking a step back from our thoughts, it allows us to feel those that can be toxic, useless or negative. How ? It’s really easy, all you need to do is sit in silence, inhale and exhale. It can help to focus your attention on a burning candle flame for example.
If you are having a hard time falling asleep and your legs feel heavy sometimes, try adding Epsom salt to your bath before going to bed. Magnesium is key to producing energy and a deficiency can cause cramps. Epsom salt is rich in magnesium which the skin can absorb.
Ditch caffeine and theine in the evenings and start drinking relaxing and calming herbal teas, which are healthy and calorie-free. Drinking a chamomile infusion or taking a chamomile bath are proven methods to reduce stress and anxiety.
- Prepare something easy
Nobody is expecting a gourmet menu as if they were at a fancy restaurant. Prepare as much as you can in advance to avoid last minute stress and catastrophes. Use healthy, tasty and simple products!
- Allow your guests to help.
All help is welcome! Divide the tasks so that everybody is responsible for part of the dinner!
- Don’t forget the holiday spirit
All the craziness around the holidays sometimes makes us forget the most important. Sharing a meal with your family or friends, enjoying being together and sharing memorable moments… Keeping in mind this spirit of generosity and appreciation will help you enjoy this time of the year!
