Ingredients

  • 450g cooked chickpeas
  • 600g crushed tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 250g buckwheat semolina
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Recipe

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
  2. Chop the onions and zucchini into small pieces. Press the garlic clove. In a pan, sauté everything with a drizzle of olive oil for 5 minutes. Then, add the chickpeas along with the cumin and cayenne pepper. Let cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes and let them reduce for 5 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. While it cooks, prepare the semolina.
  5. Serve the chickpeas and tomatoes oriental style with the warm semolina.
