The ravintsara comes from a tree called the camphorrier, which originally pushed in Asia. It was then imported into Madagascar, several centuries ago, where it evolved and developed new properties. The Malagasy uses its very fragrant leaves a lot and attribute the ability to "cure all evils". Thanks to its cineole content, it acts in particular very well on high respiratory tract .
